Beavercreek police issue alert for burglary suspect who allegedly shot a dog

BEAVERCREEK — A BOLO (Be On the Lookout) has been issued to area police for a newer model white Lexus believed to be driven by a suspect involved in a reported burglary that occurred in Beavercreek early Tuesday.

According to a police broadcast from the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Lebanon Post, authorities are being told to look for a 2018 white Lexus being driven by a male suspect believed to be armed and dangerous .

The alleged burglar shot a dog and set fire to a house in the 4000 block of Danern Drive in Beavercreek before he fled the scene around 2:20 a.m., according to scanner traffic. However, a Beavercreek dispatcher we talked to declined to confirm the information.

In the same broadcast, authorities say the suspect is possibly headed towards Hamilton Twp. in Warren County.
