TROY — UPDATE @ 450 p.m.
The Miami County Coroner said it is suspected that the cause of death of a 77-year-old man who was pulled from the Great Miami River on Sunday in Troy was likely a suicide.

Troy Firefighters pulled the body of an unidentified male, described by police to be in his 60s or 70s, from the waters of the Great Miami River in Troy Sunday afternoon.

A person on the bike path spotted the body in the water, and called 911.
The victim was located at the river dam within the city limits.
There were no apparent injuries found on his body and foul play is not suspected in the incident.

Police are working to make positive identification on the man.
Anyone who saw the man near the river, or knows someone fitting his description who is missing, is asked to contact the Miami County by dialing 9-1-1.
