Crews were called to the 2200 block of Coldstream Court in Miamisburg around 6 a.m.
News Center 7′s Kayla McDermott spoke with neighbors Saturday who caught almost everything on their Ring Doorbell camera.
The video given to News Center 7 shows a car circling the area with its trunk open at around 4 a.m Saturday morning.
“Not really used to seeing something like that,” said Matt Kierstead. “When you do, you think, ‘how bad could this get?’”

Ring cameras captured the moment a white car pulled in and out of a homeowner’s yard.
Kierstead, the next door neighbor, saw the same footage and said he does not think the car hit the tree.
“It looked like it was kind of trying to get up on the grass and then it stopped,” he said. “So, I’m not sure it actually hit the tree.”
By watching the time stamps on the surveillance video, McDermott says we know the driver was sitting in the car at about 4:30 a.m. after driving up and possibly hitting the tree.
Then, roughly, an hour later, the car burst into flames.
“We saw a fire like I’ve never seen before, “Kierstead said. “Our first instinct is we got small children is to get them out of the house and just try to figure out what’s going on.”

Neighbors are still confused about what could have started the fire early Saturday morning.
“I think it just overheated,” Kierstead said.
People on the block said everything that happened is odd but are just relieved the fire did not spread.
We called the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office as well as the Miami Valley Fire Department, but they say still investigating and have not been able to give us any new information at this time.
