WASHINGTON TWP. — UPDATE @ 3:02 p.m.:
One person was taken to the hospital after an SUV rear-ended a Montgomery County Sheriff’s cruisers at Clyo Road and Spring Valley Pike.
The driver of the SUV was taken to Kettering Medical Center following the crash, but the status of their injuries is not known.
Deputies did not report any injuries.
A medical issue may have contributed to the crash.
INITIAL REPORT:
Two Montgomery County Sheriff’s deputies’ cruisers were hit at Clyo Road and Spring Valley Pike early Sunday afternoon.
The deputies are not injured, according to Ohio State Highway Patrol dispatchers.
The deputies were responding to a motorcycle fire at Clyo Road and Spring Valley Pike around 1:20 p.m. when the cruisers were reportedly rear-ended.
It’s not clear if the driver of the vehicle was injured or if any roads are closed.
