Deputies search for suspect after Dayton man dies from gunshot wound

A 23-year-old Dayton man is dead after being shot in Harrison Twp. Sunday morning.

Deputies were dispatched to an emergency room at Good Samaritan Hospital around 12:50 a.m. for a shooting victim.

According to a Montgomery County sheriff's office release, Orlando Edwards was taken to the hospital in a private car with a gunshot wound.

While deputies investigated the reported location of the shooting at the intersection of Siebenthaler Avenue and Catalpa Drive, Edwards died at the hospital.

Harrison Twp. deputies and Violent Crimes Detectives continue to investigate the shooting and encourage anyone with information to contact the sheriff's office at (937) 225-4357.
