DAYTON — DAYTON — Two juveniles accused of intentionally igniting a large warehouse fire in Dayton June 30, pleaded guilty to charges in Montgomery County Juvenile Court Wednesday.

The juveniles pleaded guilty to charges of aggravated arson during the court appearance, according to records.

The two were sentenced to six months of probation and ordered to pay $500 in restitution to the Dayton Fire Department.

The teens also received a one-year suspended sentence for commitment to the Department of Youth Services. If the teens violate probation during their six-month sentence, they will serve the suspended sentence, records indicate.

The blaze was set in the abandoned warehouse, near the intersection of Bainbridge and Bacon streets before 9 p.m. June 30.
The two juveniles were taken into custody shortly after crews arrived at the scene and were detained for questioning.
Firefighters did not enter the building to fight the fire, citing concerns for the structural integrity.
Two days after the blaze, crews conducted an emergency demolition of the building.
