Man hurt, family turtle escapes fire at Bethel Twp. home

BETHEL TWP., Clark County — A man had minor injuries and two others were able to make it out of their home after an attic fire Monday morning, according to Bethel Twp., Clark County firefighters.

Firefighters responded to the 300 block of Stratmore Road around 10:15 a.m.

A family turtle also was able to be rescued from the house, according to investigators.

Fire crews ended up finding an electrical fire in the attic of the house and were able to put it out primarily with fire extinguishers.

The man who was hurt did not end up going to the hospital.

There was not much damage to the outside of the home.
