VIDEO: RTA van collides with car, injuring multiple people

HARRISON TWP. — UPDATE @ 4:35 p.m. (Feb. 9):

Dash camera video from an RTA van shows the vehicle as it crashes into another vehicle at the intersection of Turner Road and Philadelphia Drive Wednesday.

The video shows the RTA driver turning left while the light is still yellow, colliding with the other vehicle.

A crash report has not been released and its unclear which driver will be cited in the crash.

UPDATE @ 3:48 p.m.:
An RTA van and car were involved in a crash injuring three people in the intersection of Turner Road and Philadelphia Drive Tuesday.

Officials said two people from the car were transported to the hospital, one with serious injuries.  A third person, who was on the RTA van, also was taken to the hospital with injuries not believed to be life threatening.

The intersection is currently closed while deputies investigate and traffic is being diverted.

INITIAL REPORT:

A crash with reported injuries is reported to involve an RTA vehicle in the area of Philadelphia Drive and Turner Road this afternoon, according to dispatch reports.

Initial reports indicated the crash happened around 3:15 p.m. and firefighters on the scene have requested multiple medics.
