Man dropped off at hospital had been shot twice, police say

DAYTON — UPDATE @ 4:48 p.m.

A man in his 20s is in stable condition at Miami Valley Hospital after being shot twice, police said. It happened in an apartment parking lot near Germantown Street and Danner Avenue.

A person known to the victim drove the victim to the hospital.

Police say the victim is cooperating, but there is no suspect information yet.

Officers responded to the hospital around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday after the victim was dropped off by a private vehicle, according to dispatch records.

The condition of the victim was not immediately known.

Police are looking in the area of Germantown Street and Danner Avenue where the shooting is believed to have occurred, dispatchers said.
