Report: Man suffers smoke inhalation in Darke Co. house fire

BREAKING: 1 injured in motorcycle crash near Loxahatchee One person is injured after a crash involving a motorcycle and a truck near Loxahatchee Tuesday evening, according to Palm Beach County Fire Rescue.

An elderly man has reportedly suffered smoke inhalation after a fire broke out in a Darke County home early Friday morning.

Firefighters were dispatched to the home in the 3000 block of U.S. 127, near Weavers-Ft. Jefferson Road in Darke County around 1 a.m. on initial reports of the structure filling up with smoke.

Scanner traffic indicates a deputy responding to the scene was able to get an elderly man out of the house but he was suffering smoke inhalation.

Dispatchers said it appears the fire was started by items left on a stove.
