KETTERING — UPDATE @ 4:25 p.m. (Feb. 21):
Five people were arrested as the Tactical Crime Suppression Unit, RANGE Task Force and Warren County Drug Task Force executed search warrants at seven locations in Kettering, Springboro and Dayton.
According to officials, detectives recovered 16 guns, a large quantity of processed marijuana, a large amount of marijuana plants, money, equipment to grow marijuana indoors and six vehicles.

The seizures were a result of a 7-month investigation into a large marijuana grow and distribution organization allegedly led by Robert Carls III and Billy J. Peyton, police said.
The arrested people were identified as:
- Robert Carls III
- Jennifer Thobe
- Luke Cochran
- Tranell Brooks
- Travis Brunk
INITIAL REPORT:
Multiple search warrants are being served at locations throughout the region, including one on Wilmington Pike in Kettering, according to police.
Investigators served a warrant and took one person into custody at a residence in the 4900 block of Wilmington around 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, officials on the scene said.
Investigators have not released details on what crimes the search warrants may be connected to.
Police also took one person into custody in the 700 block of Wilfred Drive in Dayton, but officers there did not provide any details at the scene.
The warrants are part of an ongoing investigation involving the Tactical Crime Suppression Unit, which is a multi-jurisdictional organization aimed at sharing police resources to combat criminal activity regionally, police said.
The cities of Centerville, Germantown, Kettering, Miamisburg, Moraine, Oakwood, Springboro, and West Carrollton are part of TCSU.
