A Michigan driver was pulled over for following too closely on southbound Interstate 75 in Shelby County.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol said criminal indicators were observed when a trooper stopped a 2017 Nissan Altima just before 10:45 a.m. May 16, the patrol announced Friday.
A patrol drug-sniffing K-9 detected drugs, and a search with the driver’s consent revealed multiple bags of morphine sulfate pills worth $5,908, troopers said.
The driver, 35-year-old Allen B. Perry of Detroit, was booked into the Shelby County Jail on suspicion of possession of drugs and possession of criminal tools, both felonies. He has since been released from jail.
