DAYTON — A man here is in Montgomery County Jail for reportedly stepping into the public roadway to accept a sandwich from a motorist.
Dayton police jailed David M. Kinder, 37, on a charge of distribution in a right of way. He’s been in jail since Monday afternoon after police took him into custody in area of South Jefferson Street near U.S. 35.

Panhandler gets 20 cents, followed by court summons from police
This happened around 3:20 p.m. Monday when an officer observed Kinder step into roadway to accept first $1 from a vehicle, and then a sandwich from a second vehicle.
This is the second panhandler arrested in two days at the same location.
