Crews respond to animal barn fire in Miami County

Several goats and turkeys perished in a barn fire early this morning, according to the property owner.

FIRST REPORT @6:16 a.m.

An animal barn is on fire in Miami County.

Fire crews responded to the fire around 6 a.m. in the 8000 block of U.S. 40. Initial reports indicate flames were showing when crews arrived on scene.

Crews are reportedly working to protect a second building about 12 feet away from the barn that’s on fire.
