Gettysburg Family Dollar armed robbery

The Family Dollar at 1028 N. Gettysburg Ave. is the latest location robbed by an armed thief.

This latest incident was reported about 2:30 p.m. Monday.

The store manager told police that he didn’t see the robbery because he was in the back of the store. A clerk reported that the robber approached the counter and asked about something behind him. When he turned around, the robber had placed a gun on the counter and demanded money. The clerk put all the cash in the bag, and the robber left and ran south on N. Gettysburg Rd.

The suspect is a black male, slim build and short, according to the Dayton Police report. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with white drawstrings, black pants, and a black hat with a blue brim.
