Police: Springboro HS student distributes marijuana

A Springboro High School student is accused of distributing marijuana-laced brownies to other students and at least one staff member.

An 18-year-old male, whose name was not released, may be charged with multiple felonies, according to a police statement released Friday evening.

The Warren County prosecutor has not yet approved the charges, which include drug trafficking and corruption of drugs.

According to the statement from Chief Jeffrey Kruithoff, the investigation is ongoing, and will involve forensic testing to determine the source of marijuana used.

School officials notified the parents of all students believed to have been provided the brownies.

The suspect was suspended by school officials, and sent home with his parents.
