Over 200 local officials heading for Sonny Kim funeral

Local law enforcement officers from Montgomery County are traveling in a procession down Interstate 75 for fallen Cincinnati Police Officer Sonny Kim’s funeral.

• Kim was shot and killed Friday morning while responding to call
• Hundreds attended Thursday visitation
• Law enforcement from across country have volunteered to man traffic along procession

At least 125 cruisers and 250 law enforcement officials left the University of Dayton Arena shortly after 8:30 a.m.

Kim, a 27-year veteran with the department and a father of three, was killed during a gun fight with Trepierre Hummons, 21, on June 19. Hummons also died.
