FIRST REPORT

Dayton Power and Light customers in Montgomery County and Duke Energy customers in Warren County experienced outages today.

Today’s weather appears to be to blame for the lights going out.

DP&L officials say crews are finishing up and power should be restored around 5:30 p.m.

Damage to equipment in the West Carrollton area caused the outages, which was likely weather-related, they said.

Those still affected by the Duke Energy outages should expect restorations within the hour, officials said.

Duke Energy first responded to a call in the Maineville area, in which 1,625 were without power, the majority of which were restored.

There are no outages remaining in Warren County, and about 30 outages remain, according to their website.

Officials said the Duke Energy outages were caused by weather-related damage to a pole on Ohio 48 near Mainesville.
