2 taken to hospital after motorcycle, car collide

UPDATE @ 7:12 p.m.

Two people were taken to a local hospital this evening after a motorcycle and car collision.

A motorcycle was headed south on James H. McGee when the motorcycle collided with a blue Chevrolet Aveo that was turning left onto West Third Street.

The car driver, a man in his 90s, and the motorcyclist were taken to a local hospital. The motorcyclist’s injuries are not considered life-threatening, and the car driver’s condition was not immediately known, police said.

The accident remains under investigation.

FIRST REPORT

A motorcycle and car collision this evening has sent at least one person to a hospital.

Crews were called around 6:20 p.m. to the intersection of James H. McGee Boulevard and West Third Street.

The intersection is blocked and at least one person was taken to a local hospital.
