Family rebuilding home nearly year after tornado

A family in Cedarville is working to rebuild nearly a year after a tornado destroyed their home.

An EF-3 tornado moved through Cedarville last May. Roger Dobbins owned a home that was destroyed by the tornado, and now, his family is almost done building their new home.

Dobbins said he knew he wanted a basement in the new house, especially since that is where he and his family went for safety when the tornado his last year. They all escaped unharmed.

With the potential for severe weather arriving with Spring, Dobbins said he now looks at dark clouds a little closer.

He said he’s learned material things can be replaced and life goes on.
