Ohio 128 in Butler Co. open

Ohio 128 is back open following a semi crash and fuel spill Monday night.

UPDATE @ 5 a.m. 5/12:

The Butler County Sheriff’s Office says Ohio 128 remains closed from an earlier semitrailer crash.

Crews were hoping to open the roadway around midnight, but now estimate the road will reopen around 8 a.m. Tuesday.

A semitrailer crash and reported spill has forced the closure of Hamilton Cleves Road (state Route 128), police said.

There was no injury in the single-vehicle accident near 128 and Hine Road, Ross Twp. police said in a brief statement.

Because of the accident, 128 will be closed between Hine and Smith roads until at least midnight, according to the police department.

There is a hazardous materials crew on scene, presumably because of a fuel spill.

No other details about the accident have been released.
