A southerly flow will continue to pump moisture into the region and humidity levels will rise this weekend, according to StormCenter 7 Meteorologist Rich Wirdzek.
“[Higher humidity] will allow for heavier rainfall in thunderstorms that will pop up this afternoon,” Wirdzek said.
High temperatures will reach near 80.
Sunday:
More thunderstorms will be possible, especially in the afternoon. Another day of high moisture content will allow for heavy rain within the storms. Highs will hold near 80 degrees.
Monday:
The day will start out warm, with highs in the low 80s. Showers and thunderstorms will develop as a cold front approaches the region.
Tuesday:
It will be a sunny day, but with much cooler air. Temperatures will dip below the average of low 70s, with highs in the mid 60s.
Wednesday:
It will be partly cloudy, and the cooler temperatures will continue, with highs in the mid 60s.
