Luxury theater in works at Austin Landing

The developer of Austin Landing is finalizing a deal for a luxury movie theater and plans to add another restaurant at the 142-acre mixed-use complex in Miami Twp.

The movie theater, estimated to cost between $8 million and $9 million, would have six to eight screens and include a restaurant area in a concept that would be new to the Dayton market, according to Jeff Stickel, developer for RG Properties. The company is also negotiating a deal for a separate restaurant nearby, he said.

The concept for the theater would be that each screen would accommodate about 75 seats, Stickel said. The adjoining restaurant would seat anywhere from 450-600 patrons, he said.
