Mild weather expected this week

It will be milder this week with thunderstorms expected to arrive Thursday, said StormCenter 7 Meteorologist Rich Wirdzek.

This evening will be breezey with scattered clouds and temperatures falling back in the 40s, he said. There’s a small chance for showers late tonight, mainly north of Interstate 70. Lows will be in the mid-40s.

Tuesday: There will be a mix of sun and clouds with winds picking up at times. High temps will warm into the lower 60s.

Wednesday: Sunny skies and nice. Highs near 60.

Thursday: Sun will give way to more clouds through the day as a cold front approaches the area from the northwest. Showers and thunderstorms will develop and move into the area during the afternoon and evening. HIghs will be in the upper 60s.

Friday: Partly sunny, breezy and cooler. A few showers are possible.

Saturday: Mostly sunny and cool. Highs will be near 50.
