Woman hurt in hit-and-run crash in Dayton

UPDATE @ 11:22 a.m.

The driver that fled the scene has been located and police have blocked off North Main Street just south of Bond Street as the woman’s condition has deteriorated.

The woman’s injuries were deemed life-threatening after she was transported to the hospital, according to police.

Officers are gathering evidence at the crash scene and no traffic will be allowed through on North Main during the investigation.

EARLIER

A woman was taken to the hospital after her vehicle was run off the road and into a pole, according to Dayton police.

The crash happened shortly before 9:30 a.m. at North Main and Bond streets.

Police said the female driver of a Chevy Impala reported being run off the road by a blue Chevy Blazer.

Her injuries were not considered life-threatening.

Police were looking for the Blazer and the driver that fled the scene.
