Kettering Police told News Center 7′s Kayla Courvell that they found the driver down the road and learned that he was from a different country and just recently arrived in the U.S. so he did not know what to do in an emergency situation.
The right northbound lane of Far Hills Avenue was closed for a little over an hour while police investigated the crash.

A witness called the crash into the authorities, according to Kettering Police.
I spoke with the owner of the car. They’re from India, his friend was driving the car when it caught fire and then he crashed it into the sign. They’ve only been in the US for 20 days and the driver did not know to call 911. They’re here for school. @whiotv https://t.co/7OPHukspsX
