Video of a fight involving two students and a teacher from Stebbins High School has been released by Riverside city officials.
The video shows the teacher being thrown to the floor, hitting her head on a desk.
The two students are facing charges of assault and disorderly conduct.
INITIAL REPORT:
A 46-year-old teacher at Stebbins High School in Riverside was injured after attempting to break up a fight between two students, police said.
The fight happened just before 10 a.m. Nov. 15 inside a classroom of the female teacher.
The two female students, ages 14 and 16, were swinging at each other when the teacher intervened, according to a police report. The teacher was knocked backward, striking her head on a desk.
The teacher took herself to an urgent care for treatment of her bleeding head and a cut to her face, according to the police report.
The two students will face charges of assault and disorderly conduct in juvenile court.
