VENICE, Fla. — A Florida tow truck driver was stabbed Friday as he tried to repossess a vehicle, investigators said.
Venice police said Pablo Bautista stabbed a 39-year-old tow truck driver multiple times as he tried to repossess his Buick, WTVT reported.
“What we had there was a person likely in the process of a repossession, and an argument over that repossession,” Cpt. Charlie Thorpe said. “Which carried over to the street. And a stabbing occurred there.”
The tow truck driver suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken by helicopter to a hospital.
Bautista was arrested and charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, WTVT reported.
