Two full moons coming to the sky in March, first one is tonight

The month of March will feature two full moons, said Storm Center 7 Meteorologist Kirstie Zontini.

The first full moon is tonight, when the moon will rise around 6:17 p.m. in Dayton and become full at 7:51 p.m.

Unfortunately, there will be some rain showers today which might block your view of the big, bright moon, Zontini said.

“The good news is there is another chance at the end of the month,” she said.

March 31 is the second full moon, which will be called a "blue moon" since it is the second full moon in one month.
