WHIO Reports: Lake Improvement Association

Efforts to clean up Ohio’s lakes intensify At Grand Lake St. Marys, the state’s largest inland lake, three dredges are helping to scoop 300,000 cubic yards of muck from the bottom of the lake this year. This edition of WHIO Reports will focus on the Lake Improvement Association. The health of Grand Lake St. Mary has a direct impact on the economy of the region.

Guests will discuss the lake and the efforts being made to improve the water quality such as monitoring, dredging and researching practices to improve tools and resources.

Guests include Tim Lovett, President, Lake Improvement Association; Mike Bailey, Chief of Division of Parks and Watercraft, ODNR; and Theresa Dirksen, Agriculture Solutions Coordinator, Mercer County.
