There’s a new warmest day of 2017 on the books.
Monday’s high in Dayton, so far, was 91 degrees, marking the hottest day so far in 2017, and the hottest day since Aug. 11, 2016, said Storm Center 7 Chief Meteorologist Eric Elwell.

Sunday was the warmest day of 2017 to date.
While temperatures didn’t reach 90 degrees, it came close with the high temperature at the Dayton International Airport measuring 87 degrees. This surpassed previous warmest days this year of June 3, June 4 and June 5.
The normal temperature for this time of year is 79 degrees.
Sunday’s high of 87 degrees likely will not last, as temperatures Monday and Tuesday are expected to reach the lower 90s.
