I was always passionate about a good story and would elongate it to tell you every little detail. That, coupled with my passion for sports, pushed me into the news industry. I was born and raised in Southern California. I studied at California State University, Northridge, where I graduated with a bachelor’s degree of Arts in Journalism with an emphasis in Broadcasting in May 2021. I also attained an Associate of Arts in Cinema and Broadcasting at Chaffey College. While at both schools, I was a member of the National Honors Society and the National Association of Black Journalists. While I was at CSUN, I interned at Muse TV, where I was the news and sportswriter for the website. With Muse, I reported on red-carpet events and interviewed the likes of Jennifer Hudson, Marlon Wayans, Constance Marie, and many others. As an undergraduate, I coached track and field at two high schools, Etiwanda High School, and Alta Loma High School, both located in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. Upon graduation, I began my journey as a reporter at a CBS affiliate in Medford, Oregon. During my time there, I was able to do several stories that impacted the community, environment, education system, and the homeless community. Unfortunately, my time there was cut short due to the news station being shut down due to corporation layoffs. Now, I have the opportunity to continue my passion in Dayton. I look forward to being a part of the Miami Valley community and covering the things that impact us the most. Additionally, I am eager to cover sports and continue the legacy Mike Hartsock started years ago.
