TROY — Cohen Recycling is closing its Troy facility as of Friday.
Drew Lammers, vice president of outside operations, said significant changes in the commodity markets and lower volume of processed material contributed to the Middletown-based company’s decision to close the facility at 3655 W. State Route 571 in Troy.

“This closure is a necessary step in our strategy as we focus resources across the rest of our footprint and on staying competitive in the ever-changing recycling industry,” Lammers stated in an email.
No jobs will be lost because all employees will be transitioned to other Cohen locations, Lammers said.
