Leet was no longer an inmate Wednesday morning.

Kosak was taken to jail on suspicion of possession of drugs.

INITIAL REPORT (June 12):

Several people were taken into custody Tuesday evening after an officer issued a “Signal 99” for an officer in need of assistance and brief standoff.

The incident started when police, who were looking for a couple of stolen cars, arrived at 114 N. Wright Ave., where they saw two men coming out of the house. One ran and the second fought with an officer, police  said.

The man who fought with the officer was armed with a handgun, which is what prompted the officer to issue a “Signal 99” for an officer in need of assistance. Police were able to subdue the man and the officer was not injured, officers said.

Then police tried to make contact with the other people inside the house. They used a bullhorn to try to speak to them. Eventually, they were able to get two others out of the house. They were taken into custody but police said they likely will only charge the first man, police said.

Officers are still looking for the man who ran, who they said has arrest warrants.

An unspecified amount of drugs were recovered at the scene, police said.
