MORAINE — One woman was shot in her SUV early today in a carjacking at the Red Roof Inn - Moraine, 2450 Dryden Road.

A Moraine police sergeant tells us the victim is a woman. Police on scene confirmed she was speaking when medics took her to Miami Valley Hospital. Her condition is not known.
A male with her was not injured, the sergeant said.
The Chevrolet Tahoe, believed to have been taken in the incident, was stopped on Danner Ave. in Dayton and the two people who were in it have been detained by Dayton police.
The two detained are not the suspects related to the assault according to police.
Moraine police were dispatched about 12:20 a.m. on the report of a shooting at the Red Roof Inn.
Police say the situation is still under investigation.
