DAYTON — Police said they believe a group of robbers who hit two drug stores Sunday may be responsible for as many as six similar crimes in the region.

They haven’t been looking for cash, but have been demanding drugs such as OxyContin and oxycodone, Dayton police told News Center 7′s Mike Campbell on Monday.

The most recent incident occurred Sunday night at a CVS at Main and Westbrook in Harrison Twp.

Dayton police said they think the same invaders robbed a Rite Aid, on Wilmington Avenue, Sunday morning. The men ran out of that location without drugs when the clerk reportedly pharmacy at that location.

Campbell said detectives tell him both groups of three men were described as wearing all black, white gloves and white caps or masks.

Police in Middletown and Kettering are also comparing notes about drug store robberies in their cities.
