WEST ALEXANDRIA — UPDATE @ 10:55 p.m.: The cause of the garage and house fire in West Alexandria that has displaced a family is undetermined, West Alexandria Assistant Fire Chief John Glander said.

There were no injuries from the garage fire that spread to the back side of the home, said Glander, who also is interim fire chief.
He estimated the damage to the house and garage at $10,000, but said the family was able to salvage some critical belongings.
Fire crews from Lewisburg and Eaton provided mutual aid, Glander said.

Crews are on the scene of a fully engulfed house fire in the 1200 block of Wolf Road.

We’re hearing reports that the fire spread from the garage to the house. We have not heard reports of any injury.
The incident was reported just before 8:30 p.m.
