Hobby Lobby plans to close its Ohio stores that had re-opened amidst the stay at home order, according to Attorney General Dave Yost, who earlier Wednesday, announced he sent a cease and desist letter to the crafts and home décor store.

Hobby Lobby attempted to reopen in parts of the U.S. with stay-at-home orders in place, including Ohio. The company argued that they were an essential business due to offering PPE mask supplies, educational supplies, office supplies and various components for at-home small businesses.

Gov. DeWine was asked a question during Wednesday’s press conference about the company reopening and his response was this: “Look everybody has to follow the law."

Later, Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost tweeted about Hobby Lobby directly. In the tweet, he mentioned that he was sending a cease-and-desist letter to Hobby Lobby to shut down.

Shortly after Yost’s initial tweet was posted, he tweeted again.
