MISSISSINAWA TWP., Darke County — A 58-year-old Darke County man from Mississinawa Twp. is in jail on a charge accusing him of aggravated murder in the strangulation of his wife in late April.
Richard Bowman was arrested today by Darke County Sheriff’s deputies on an arrest warrant issued by a county grand jury.

Teresa Bowman, 60, was pronounced dead at their Disher Road residence on April 24. by EMS, according to the sheriff’s office.
A forensic examination revealed her death was the result of strangulation. After several weeks of investigation by Darke County Sheriff’s detectives and the return of lab results, the case was presented to the Darke County Prosecutors Office. Prosecuting Attorney R. Kelly Ormsby III presented the case to the grand jury on Thursday.
