Man suffers life-threatening injuries after shooting in Dayton

DAYTON — A man was hospitalized with injuries described as life-threatening after a shooting on Kensington Drive late Wednesday night, according to Dayton police.

Officers and medics were dispatched on a report of a shooting in the 1900 block of Kensington Drive, near Kings Highway, just before midnight.

According to Dayton Police Sgt. Doug George a man was shot, suffered in life-threatening condition, and taken to Miami Valley Hospital.

George said the victim was shot in the driveway and a suspect is not in custody at this time.

Additional details about what led up to the shooting were not released.
