Dayton police looking for vehicle in hit-and-run incident that injured bicyclist

DAYTON — A bicyclist was injured Wednesday after a vehicle hit him and did not stop in what Dayton police are investigating as a hit-and-run incident.

The incident the area of West Fifth Street and South Robert Drive was reported about 3:44 p.m.

Police initially called for a medic unit because the person on the bike appeared to be "pretty roughed up." The victim suffered a scrape to his knee and did not require a trip to a hospital.

Officers on scene were working with the victim to develop a description of the vehicle.
