Calls on Thursday night were growing for state Sen. Steve Huffman, R-Tipp City, to resign for his comments about blacks in relation to COVID-19.
Also, the Columbus Dispatch reported that Huffman, who had ties with Premier Health severed, has been fired by TeamHealth, a Tennessee company that provides outsourced physicians.
A demonstration is planned Friday afternoon in Englewood and police have alerted drivers to the following road closures as a result of the planned event:
- Union Blvd between West Wenger Road and West National Road will be closed at 4:45 p.m. to all traffic for an undetermined amount of time.
- West National Road between Ohio 48 and Union Blvd. will be closed to all traffic at 5:30 p.m. for an undetermined amount of time.
