MIAMI VALLEY — Two local hospitals are again being recognized for their best performance in medical care.
Miami Valley ranked 8th best among all Ohio hospitals, according to U.S News & World Report in their latest annual rankings.
The hospital, which is part of Premier Health, again had the best performance among all hospitals in the Dayton metropolitan area.
The distinction is also included Miami Valley Hospital North in Englewood and Miami Valley Hospital South in Centerville.
Miami Valley received high-performing designations in 11 areas of medical care that includes orthopedics, pulmonology, lung surgery, urology, aortic valve surgery, heart bypass surgery, heart failure, colon cancer surgery, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), hip replacement, knee replacement, and lung cancer surgery.

Kettering Medical Center also received high rankings by the U.S News & World Report.
The hospital ranked a Best Hospital and recognized for High Performace rate in seven different procedures and conditions abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, aortic valve surgery, colon cancer surgery, heart failure, hip replacement, knee replacement, and lung cancer surgery.
The Sycamore Medical Center was also named as High Performing for hip replacement procedures.
