FIRST REPORT (July 8):

Dayton police believe a man found in an alley behind a house on Gebhart Street was stabbed to death before he was hit by a vehicle, Lt. Steven Bauer said.

Police were dispatched to the address about 5:48 p.m. Wednesday and found the victim, believed to be 58-year-old man, in the alley where he was deceased, Bauer said. The name of the victim was not not released, pending notification of family and further investigation by the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office.
