Annual Tipp City Mum Festival canceled

TIPP CITY — The Tipp City Mum Festival has been canceled this year due to coronavirus concerns.

“After reaching out to our local health department on what the requirements would be, we have made the heartbreaking decision to cancel the Mum Festival in September,” read a statement released on the Tipp City Mum Festival’s Facebook page.

The Tipp City Mum Festival board and committee discussed the festival taking place numerous times but felt the social distancing guidelines due to COVID-19 would be “too great” to enforce.

“Health of our community is our number one priority,” read the statement.

This year would have been the 62nd Mum Festival.

The festival was scheduled for September 25 and 26 of this year but is scheduled for a 2021 date.
