Beavercreek PD to host Crime Prevention Academy for community

BEAVERCREEK — The Beavercreek Police Department will be hosting its first Crime Prevention Academy this April.

The free four-week academy takes place April 7, April 14, and 28 from 6 - 9 p.m and Saturday, April 23 from 9 a.m. -12 p.m.

Participants will learn the history of community policing and tips on how to protect their family and home, according to Beavercreek’s website.

The academy is in collaboration with the Miami Valley Crime Prevention Association.

Participants must register in advance by filling out an application and sending it to Beavercreek PD by mail, drop-off, or direct email to Officer Kris Brownlee, brownleek@beavercreekohio.gov.

The academy will take place at Lofino Plaza, 3868 Dayton-Xenia Road.
