News Center 7’s Ronnell Hunt was on scene and told us that people were standing outside of Walmart with blankets around them and police have blocked off all entrances for now.
K9 units from the Dayton police department, Vandalia police department, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and the Dayton Airport police department assisted, according to McCoy.
After four K9’s inspected the building, nothing was found and employees were allowed back inside, according to McCoy. Employees cleaned up what customers dropped during the evacuation before customers were allowed back inside.

Hunt spoke to Moniece Guerin, an employee who was waiting outside the Walmart, who said that after the threat was given, management announced over the intercom for everyone to evacuate. Once outside, Guerin said that medics gave the waiting employees blankets.
Speaking about the threat, Guerin said that this was the first one she had seen at the Walmart, although employees who had worked there longer said there had been similar situations before.
When asked if she was concerned about the threat, she said, “Not really, because there’s always threats everywhere.”
