The Dayton Police Department has developed a “Safety Delivery Project” training video with safety suggestions.
A recent rash of pizza delivery driver robberies highlights the importance for the department’s training.
“It is a fact that delivery driving is one of the most dangerous jobs, they go into unknown areas carrying cash.”
Dayton police say they have studied robberies and where they are happening.

It’s easy to follow the training in the video, and it helps:
- Identify the potential problems that may arise before or during a delivery
- Explain ways to work with your local police department/law enforcement agency and other businesses to help prevent crimes against delivery drivers
- How to get citizens/your customers involved to assist with driver safety
