Six trapped ducklings were rescued from a drain in a parking lot at the Mall at Fairfield Commons Friday afternoon.

A woman who called News Center 7’s tip line reported a number of ducklings trapped in a drain in the Chili’s parking lot at the mall.
The caller told the news station that possibly 10 ducklings were trapped and the mother duck was repeatedly walking around in the parking lot near the drain.

A group of people were gathered in the parking lot and used nets to rescue the ducklings as a mother duck watched closely.
