Funeral services set for Mansfield couple killed in Dayton

Funeral arrangements have been set for Mansfield residents Todd Burkhart, 28, and Kyla Hayton, 20, who were both killed in Dayton.

A private service for family will be in the Chestnut Grove Cemetery for Burkhart, formerly of Ashland. Friends may call between 3 and 6 p.m. Saturday at the Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home, 313 Center St., Ashland

A private funeral service for both Hayton and her unborn son, Milo, also will be held at Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home with internment in the Ashland Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Burkart and his girlfriend Hayton died from gunshot wounds and were found in vacant homes near one another just days apart.

The couple had been reported missing more than a week ago.
